The Charlotte was designed for the lighter, sun-drenched moments of Spring leading into summer. It is the piece you reach for when you want to feel effortlessly feminine—whether it’s for a baby shower, a garden brunch, or simply a Tuesday where you want to feel like you again.
The Inspiration: A Craving for Lightness
The Charlotte dress was born out of a craving for lightness and beauty. After the structured layers of winter, I wanted to create a silhouette that felt as effortless as a Spring morning. I drew inspiration from the graceful fluidity of ballet, incorporating a detailed shoulder bow version that brings a sense of weightless femininity to the design.
Meticulously Made in NYC
While the inspiration was ethereal, the execution was precise. Every Charlotte dress is meticulously made in the heart of the New York City Garment District. We spent weeks refining the "ballet-inspired" details—from the delicate detail of the shoulder bow to the way the fabric moves with you—to ensure that this lightness never comes at the expense of a perfect, supportive fit.
A Personal Muse
For the Charlotte shoot, I wanted the imagery to feel as real and intentional as the design itself. That is why I asked a close friend of mine—who also happens to be a professional model—to step in as our muse.
There is something incredibly special about seeing a technical pattern evolve into a finished garment. Watching my friend navigate her own journey of motherhood in a silhouette I meticulously designed was a 'full circle' moment for me as a founder. We didn’t just want a model; we wanted a mother who embodies the grace, strength, and reality of this chapter.
